Lamborghini kicked off Labor Day weekend with the grand opening of its largest dealer showroom in the United States. Located off the I-10 in Boerne, Lamborghini San Antonio is the fourth Lamborghini dealer to call Texas home out of a total of 50 across the country – and counting.

I was invited to attend the VIP grand opening and walk around the 40,000-square-foot showroom using cocktail napkins to wipe away my drool over the collection of Italian supercars on display. Among them was a ready-to-buy example of the all-new successor to the Huracan, the 2025 Lamborghini Temerario.

Lamborghini San Antonio Grand Opening

I rolled up to the glass building of Lamborghini San Antonio in my press car of the week, an elegantly practical 2024 Chrysler Pacifica Pinnacle PHEV van. Being part of the media means arriving fashionably early to get a lay of the venue before the crowd of tailored suits and designer gowns filled the showroom.

My cowboy boots clicked on the polished floor while admiring the classic and future classic examples of the raging bull. Pristine examples of the Lamborghini Miura and Countach kept me distracted in a daydream haze of sunsets in the French Riviera at 6,000 RPM until someone handed me a champagne flute and a plate of pasta.

When I wasn’t looking at cars I could only afford in a game of Monopoly, I was window shopping the variety of licensed merchandise on display. A black Italian leather Lamborghini jacket caught my eye, and I thought about how lovely it would complement the black snake-skin cowboy boots I wore to this event.

2025 Lamborghini Temerario Texas Debut

The grand opening prompted an ideal opportunity to unveil the all-new 2025 Lamborghini Temerario to a room full of automotive fans and potential buyers. This new sleek aluminum-bodied supercar carries the torch for the outgoing Lamborghini Huracan and packs a serious performance punch.

The Lamborghini Temerario uses an aluminum space frame to house a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 producing a healthy 789 horsepower, further aired by three electric motors to produce a combined output of 907 hp with a combined torque spec of 590 pound-feet. Managing the power to the wheels is tasked to an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

Yes, the Temerario is a hybrid supercar. These electric motors are strategically placed within the chassis. One motor is mounted between the engine and transmission and the other two are separated into each of the front wheels.

The engineering result of this hybrid powertrain allows the Temerario to sprint from zero to 60 in 2.7 seconds and onward to a top speed of 213 mph. Reaching the claimed top speed means pushing the needle to its redline at 10,000 rpm and basking in the V8’s fire-spitting soundtrack from its bespoke exhaust system.

Lamborghini says the Temerario offers more interior leg and headroom than the Huracan. Claiming that the Temerario’s interior provides enough room for someone standing at six foot five to be able to ride inside the car while wearing a racing helmet. The new interior layout features an 18-way adjustable driver’s seat with heated and cooling ventilation, standard Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Sonus Faber audio system. The car’s dashboard features three display screens – a 12.3-inch instrument panel with three selectable views, an 8.4-inch center infotainment screen, and a 9.1-inch screen for the passenger.

An available Lamborghini Vision Unit (LAVU) uses three cameras to record memorable track day experiences without needing a Go-Pro. This system can also serve as a security camera to record up to one minute of incident history and two minutes of off-track recording. One feature that really impressed me was the 13 available drive modes, which include everything from launch control to three levels of drift mode to slide the tail out—if you dare.

Designer Kitchens by Lamborghini

The grand opening of Lamborghini San Antonio included a booth showcasing a new avenue in the Lamborghini ownership lifestyle. La Dolce Vita, an Italian design firm based in Milano and Miami, Florida, has partnered with Lamborghini to offer buyers the option of custom designer kitchen decor by Automobili Lamborghini Bodacious Kitchen.

This means you can now remodel your kitchen with Lamborghini. This program offers quality materials like marble countertops said to have been sourced from ancient Roman quarries, sustainably harvested wood, and forged composite carbon fiber. Essentially, you can enter this showroom and order a custom Lamborghini and wooden kitchen cabinets and drawers lined with leather to match the interior of your bespoke supercar.

Lamborghini San Antonio is located at 27605 I-10, Boerne, TX 78006. Attending the grand opening of a luxury supercar dealership was a great experience. It’s not every day I get to observe people in this specific social setting, and after speaking with several members of the Lamborghini San Antonio team, I’m envious of the level of customer service buyers will receive when they walk through the glass doors.

One day, I’ll get the chance to walk in and haggle the price on a classic Lamborghini Miura (he said optimistically).
