How to Use Mothers California Gold Ceramic Products 

The proper way to use these products and achieve the ultimate results is to start with the California Gold Ceramic Wash & Wax. Ensuring the painted surfaces are scrubbed, cleaned, washed, and free of any contaminants or pollutants. 

Then, using an application pad or buffing tool, use the California Gold Ceramic Paint Correction Compound solution. 

The product works like most polishing compounds. Apply in small sections and allow it to haze before removing it with a microfiber towel. Repeat until the entire vehicle has been treated. This product helps remove unwanted imperfections, such as light scratches or staining from acid rain, from painted surfaces while leaving a saturated, glossy shine.

Afterward, you have the option to apply California Gold Ceramic Spray Wax for an additional shine. The application is straightforward, using the spray bottle to coat small areas and removing it with a microfiber towel.

Reviving the Old Paint on My Ranch Worn 1969 Camaro 

I tested the new Mothers California Gold Ceramic products on my 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 tribute. The paintwork on this car is pushing 30 years old, 10 of those years being exposed to the harsh conditions of a South Texas ranch. 

I chose this car to give the Mothers Polish ceramic products a real test. Applying them on a modern car with a young clear coat is easy. But suppose they could revive the many paint imperfections on my old muscle car. A true testament of quality. 

A bit of backstory on the state of my Camaro. From a distance, the car appears to be a pristine, period-correct example of a red-blooded muscle car. But standing close, it’s impossible to ignore the dents, scuffs, and gashing scratches caused by varying living entities on my ranch. 

For example, a significant dent on the driver’s side door is thanks to our male goat, Maverick, who liked to rest by leaning on the side of the car. The hood and front fenders are littered with scratches because one of our dogs decided she enjoyed taking naps on top of the Camaro and constantly jumped on it using her razor-sharp paws.

Full disclosure, I am not a car detailer. I’m not even an experienced car polisher. I loathe washing and waxing cars, and most of my personal vehicles don’t have paint worthy of stressing over.
